Online notebook/organizational tool for Research

I am starting my masters in CS and would like some recommendations on online notebooks/organizational tools to keep track of research.

I would suggest creating a private wiki. That seems to go well for folks.

EverNote (evernote.com) is very popular, don't know if it's quite what you're looking for though. I don't think it works for code (syntax colouring) though, which a private wiki can do.
