Help Regarding Script Validation

Posted 10 August 2013 - 11:23 AM

I have created one website. But when i check errors through a site called
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fvidics4.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0
it is showing 32 Errors. But i am confused how to remove it. This is the domain name of my site http://vidics4.com/
Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Moved to HTML forum. @OP you are talking about the HTML validator, nothing to do with PHP.

Read through the details for each of the 32 errors and fix them individually. (Not all of them are what most developers would consider an error, per se.)

Hints:

An inline element such as an a-tag should not contain block-level elements like div and p-tags. These are HTML errors, although most browsers will still render the page elements. If you don't need these elements (some of them are empty) then remove them, or possibly replace them with inline elements such as span-tags (or use css to change their display-property).

The DOCTYPE you are using requires " />" for some self-closing tags. Otherwise, you need to explicitly close the tags with </tagname>.

Why are you putting code tags around a web link? Super odd.

Notice the majority of your issues are "document type does not allow element "div" here". Since I don't know what your code looks like I would suggest starting there. Where ever you are dumping those tags the validator is complaining about - fix'em. Find a new spot for them.. make your document the right type. .etc.

Have you actually taken time to read each error? the majority of your HTML markup looks completely jacked up; no sane indentation style, lots of tags without closing tags, seemingly random attributes on some elements(some of your <span>s have rel attributes.

What, exactly, is confusing you about these errors?
