Running multiple scripts in python

Posted 14 August 2013 - 03:18 PM

Hey guys, I have a question since we are not too familiar with python. We are working on a project which we want to run two scripts at the same time. We want the first script to be in a loop and when a button is pressed we want the second script to interrupt the first. The idea of the first script of our project is to have a camera that when a proximity sensor detects the presence of a person will take a picture and we want our second script to interrupt and stop the first script at the press of a button immediately. we researched threads but could not make it work any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

We're not just going to give out code, but we can guide you to success!
First, what have you tried already, so it's not suggested again?

I do not need the code.im just looking for guidance. We came up with the code and ran it as a thread and it worked, I was just wondering if they are different methods that can be used that are more simpler than threading. Do you have an idea how the fork() method works? I've researched the topic but I still do not understand it completely.
