Rails Server For Windows

Posted 27 August 2013 - 04:24 AM

Let's keep it short and simple.

I need a webserver for Windows more powerful than WEBrick. Something that can handle concurrent requests. Unicorn is a no-go for Windows, so what else is out there? My application is simple(a personal blog) and I have only two months of programming experience. So I can't promise to understand your reasons for whatever you recommend. What I can promise is that I'm good at googling and if you point me in the right direction, I'll figure it out...eventually.

Thank you, in advance.

P.S. No advice about moving away from Windows. I'll do that eventually, but for now it's what I'm working with.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Nobody told me about it. When I did some searches by myself, I was mostly told 'Go to linux'. I finally got tired of hearing it and just did so.

Thanks for the help, but I already had a rails environment set up. What I needed was a server to use with rails in place of WEBrick. Unicorn would only work on Unix-like systems so a no-no for Windows. So I moved to Linux and now use Unicorn.

Thanks, anyway. I had a look at the thread and it seems people suggest staying away from configuring Rails on a Windows server.

Anyway, this thread can be closed as I am happy enough with my Rails development environment on Linux.
