Crystal Reports in VB .Problem with Crystl.ocx file

Posted 06 September 2007 - 01:45 AM

I have Crystal Report version 9, visual Studio 6

In VB through components i can only see Crystal report Viewer , but no crystal Report

So I searched my VB CD and couldn't find the file Crystl.ocx file on it

I tried coping this file from another system and then open it in Components but I get the error "file not registered"

Any solutions for this problem.

Also can anyone tell which is better to use data Report or Crystal Report

Then you need to use regsvr32 to register the component.

Copy all the runtime files included in your Crystal report installer (version 8 onwards) then compile it using your package deployment tool of your vb6.

if you want I have created my own RUNTIME FILES needed to run your Crystal Reports embedded in your VB6 developed program? I can give a copy of my installer.

Godspeed!
