mobile app city (mobile builder questions)

Posted 01 September 2013 - 07:33 PM

hi everyone

I am new, so I would appreciate any ideas, help

I am looking at franchising this company: http://mobileappcity.com/

I am interesting to buy the license, $10,000, but just wanted to get some ideas, some feedback or any other recommendations before I spend my $10,000.

Basically what I want to do is start building apps for my clients, I am not looking to lots of coding, the interface of the mobile app city is like drap and drop, adding text to it.

if there is any other solution, please let me know.

So any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks

Sure. Find clients. Find out what they need, then you outsource the work and collect the money. Drag and drop solutions are bad news.

Being close to both indie developers and corporations who are active in the mobile space, I come across many varied and interesting questions. If you have a question similar to the below, then read on – I might be able to offer you some advice;

“Mobile ad networks seem to be pretty fragmented. What are the top five most effective ad networks for iOS and Android to drive app downloads and/or installs in the US?”

“What is the best ad network for advertising iOS apps and generating downloads cost-effectively?”

“What are the various ad platforms (avenues) to drive app downloads?”

Due to the very clear problems that developers face with app discoverability, there are a number of entrepreneurs and companies trying to solve these issues, and to be honest it’s a bit of a jungle out there in the race to give developers of all sizes a platform to gain awareness and traction for the products they work so hard to create.

I wanted to write this post to give companies of all sizes, as well as individuals a clear understanding of the platforms that are available and more importantly, what they should expect from them.

Let’s start with covering a few industry averages and basics that everyone should be aware of.

• In 2017 it’s estimated that 160 billion apps will be downloaded on mobile devices.
• As of now, the average cost per install is around $1.50 (and rising)
• Total mobile app revenues could reach $25 billion this year.
• There are many companies that say they fix discoverability
• Estimated app downloads in 2013 range from 56 to 90 billion.
• Of all the applications, a tiny minority are ever downloaded
• As of the time of writing this, it costs around $96,000, per day to get into the top 10 charts
• Free apps accounted for 89% of total downloads last year
• Between 80 and 90% of downloaded apps are used just once then discarded.
• Only 16% of people will try an app more than twice
• No ad network is currently dominant in this extremely fragmented market
• No-one knows which ad networks are the biggest, as they all perform differently
• Ad networks are all very unique products
