iMacro, data scraping, email w/ attachments; Problem

Posted 10 September 2013 - 09:22 AM

I'm trying to create a macro that will go to a website, download two files, then go to a different page and extract the appropriate email address. Then I want it to go to my gmail tab and create an email with the extracted email address, a presaved subject and body, and attach the two downloaded files. Then I want it to save the email and attach it to the original website.

I mostly have it working, but there are a few glitches. I'd like to almost completely automate it. The parts I'm having the most problems with are:
-saving the email address to a variable (I didn't see how to do that on the wiki)
-downloading the files and saving them (when I tried it kept giving me an error code saying it wasn't downloaded, when it did) and then creating a variable with the saved name so I can attach it
-I also had a problem with clicking compose, for some reason gmail wouldn't take the click and create a new message

Here's my current code:

Presumably, the iMacro program can be used with various scripting languages. I figured what I'm trying to do was most closely related to javascript, but I could be wrong.

If you have a better idea of where this post belongs, please let me know.

as far as I could see you can use various languages to control iMacros (like a remote) and thus still need the original iMacros control language.

I'm not sure what you're asking of me. What should I do?
