In general, uploading image data into a database is not ideal. You'd normally want to upload the image to a location on the file-system, and then store that location in the database. File-systems are databases specifically designed to handle files, and they do it extremely well, whereas relational databases like MySQL are better suited at managing small pieces of well defined data.

Is there a reason why you want the image data inside the database, rather than on the file-system?
