My household doesn't have much of an issue with this, but my ten-year-old brother did somehow manage to get his computer infected with a "Your computer has been locked" virus. You know, the type that poses as a government agency, accuses you of copyright infringement and porn use, and then tells you that you can pay your fine by going to your local Wal-Mart and buying a payment card? (Gee, I didn't know government fines could work that way. Wow!!!)

With the help of the Internet, I was able to get it back to a state where I could run Malwarebytes and remove the virus. Whoooo.

Then, because my brother been kind of freaking out all day about this thing, I did some extra stuff for him while it was still in my hands. I got rid of AVG Secure Search (and there was much rejoicing), I physically cleaned the computer (because a computer as old as his gets really greasy), and then I changed his desktop background, Chrome skin, homepage, and folder icons to things related to Castle Crashers. After that, I showed him how to effectively organize all his files and sprite art and stuff into folders, which he apparently needed to be taught. *shrug*

I worked Free Lance for a company that eventually sold their name, in marysville missouri. 1 client I had, had the most temporary internet files I have every seen. She had a 40 GB drive (when they first came out) and 35 GB of Temp Files. She called us up to see why her internet was slow. To Top it off she didn't want us to format the computer, so 4 hours later, the files were off and we were out of the house.

Well From what I can tell, she was well off and she spent most of her time in the house and I was very surprised that I didn't find any viruses (sp?) or malware on it.

Man, that was the only time I have had to delete 10-15 items at time and spend 15 minutes doing it.
