Database server architecture

Posted 22 September 2013 - 10:31 AM

At work we are looking at the current architecture of our databases. Therefore I need to improve my knowledge on this subject. I'm pretty mutch self-taught, and don't have much practical experience on the subject.

I have some "general" knowledge on data warehousing, OLAP, OLTP through books and some classes.
What I need to improve is my knowledge on:
- Data warehousing (especially "on the fly" ETL)
- General knowledge on database server architecture

We are working on a server 2008 r2 system, so that may limit the options a bit.
I'm mostly a book worm so any recommendations on any literature on the above list would be much appreciated.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0
