In a time of need, people can surprise you.

They can surprise you, but they normally just let me down.

I was thinking more they can surprise you, but that just means your lookout fell asleep. Or is blind. Or is now a zombie.

Edit: More or less just wasting time here at work, waiting to go home, but having posted this thread today, I was quite amused to find this article...

Are You Ready For The Zombie Apocalypse?

Not bad for something that started with me reading up on carbon nanotubes.

I'm not too concerned. As every philosopher knows, we might have already been invaded by zombies, and we'd never know the difference. That's the point of zombies. (in philosophy, anyway)

You think we're not already surrounded by mindless, bloodthirsty, half-alive subhuman wretches? Have you been out in public lately?

...

I have a feeling that the "zombie fad" apocalypse has already come and gone and it took until now for it to finally infect the lounge.

Welp, I guess I'm out of here.

Enjoy your infection.

my girlfriend's family owns a ranch in white oaks, nm. it has generated power, collects rain water for drinking, etc. needs some work, but i think that would probably be my best option. raid the house and local stores in abq for canned goods and take off for there.

This would be a great stage for zombie outbreak, it even has a cemetery nearby so zombies can get reinforcements.

No plan survives first contact.

EDIT: A farm with power generation and gray water collection/filtrationis about the only "plan" that has any chances, but even that becomes pretty untenable the first time a commandeered hmmwv with a mounted .50 cal shows up.
