On an interesting note - sport.woot.com is selling a 'bug out bag starter kit'.

http://sport.woot.co...bag-starter-kit

Throw in some medical gear and you may have something!

*cough* http://www.gearpods.com/

I'd rather make up my own tbh, if that was something I was interested in. Mostly because I already have some useful equipment, but also because It'd probably be cheaper.

Oh, are we doing gear? I have some ideas:
1) Solar Powered Back Pack
2) Survival Kit(Though I would Change the Medical Back to a Fully Loaded Black Hawk Stomp II
3)Assault Pack (for clothes and other gear)
4)Colt .45
5)Wichester 97 12g Shotgun
6)1 person Quick Up Tent
7)Solar Panels
8)Folding Shovel
9)Pistol Holster
10) 12g Ammo Bandoler
11)Katana

Add in Some MREs and good Camel Back and you have my setup.
As for Transportation, I will find what I find when people run away.

Sounds pretty good. One thing though, you seem overly reliant on solar power. What if the Apocalypse comes with a lack of sunlight? or you may even just need power at night, and have none left.

Add some sort of hand crack chargy thingy (specific eh) and you'll be golden.

If you are in the UK, you can join my group. You can easily make it to us inside 4 hours, no matter where in the country you are. You'll need to make it to the TA barracks in Jesmond, Newcastle. From there, we work our way to safety.

Apollo's drink of choice was Old English 800 mixed with wheat germ.

...Apollo Creed indeed...
