microsoft query data parameter problem

Posted 10 September 2007 - 09:22 AM

I am having a problem attempting to set date parameters for a Microsoft Query that I have set up to run within Excel... Normally, I would edit the query, set the criteria to recognize parameters, return the data back to excel & then set the date parameter within the excel worksheet... Now - it is not working... Listed below is the error code that I am getting... BTW - I have tried changing the date format to many different things... Custom date, text, general, date format, etc...

The error code is ORA-01847: day of the month must be between 1 and last day of the month

Any help is appreciated... I have set up many queries to run with date parameters and never before encountered this problem.

Thanks.

We would need to see your query to even begin to help you debug this. :)

I hate to sound like a jerk but check the date you entered and make sure it exists in that given month. Sounds like you tried to put 31 days in a month that only had 30.

Can also be that you tried to put a european date format into a us one, or the other way around.

And yes, you need to post the offending code, what you inputted, what you expected, and what you got instead. Did you read the forumrules?
