I was given a access databse that is really irritating me.
It has caused one to many errors for my programs - is there a way to just load the data into sql express and tell access bybye

You can import the data into SQL or export it from Access

You may have to tweak some of your queries in your application, but yes, it's pretty easy to export from Access or import in to SQL.
