I have a GSM Modem SMS sender program download. I tried to run it in Window 7 32bit OS but it gives me an error of "run-time error 429" and when I debug it, it point me to
Set Modem = New SMSModem.
Here's the full code:
Option Explicit ' Modem object Private WithEvents Modem As SMSModem ' use WithEvents to detect events raised by the modem ' Open communications with modem Private Sub Form_Load() ' TO DO: Please set your communication port number here! Const commPort = 1 ' COM1: Set Modem = New SMSModem ' TO DO: Please set your modem type here! (e.g. gsmModemSiemens, gsmModemAudiotel,...) Call Modem.OpenComm(gsmModemSimulator, commPort, , smsNotifyAll) End Sub ' Close communications with modem Private Sub Form_Unload(Cancel As Integer) Call Modem.CloseComm Set Modem = Nothing End Sub ' Send an SMS Private Sub cmdSend_Click() Dim msgRef As Integer msgRef = Modem.SendTextMessage(txtDest, txtMessage, (chkStatusReport = vbChecked)) MsgBox txtMessage, , "Message #" & CStr(msgRef) & " sent to " & txtDest End Sub ' Modem event: SMS received Private Sub Modem_MessageReceived(message As SMSDeliver) MsgBox message.Body, , "New message from " & message.Originator End Sub ' Modem event: status report received (delivery receipt) Private Sub Modem_StatusReport(statusRpt As SMSStatusReport) MsgBox "Message #" & CStr(statusRpt.MessageRef) & " sent to " & statusRpt.Destination _ & " is now " & statusRpt.MessageStatusName, , _ "Status report for " & statusRpt.Destination End Sub
What is that mean?
How can I solve this problem?
What software do I need to download?
