Finding the users database

Posted 04 October 2013 - 10:34 AM

I'm redesigning a website and its application from scratch, but I don't want to have users register again. My plan is let users be able to choose the old site or the one I'm currently making, and then eventually have everyone use the site I'm making.

What should I be looking for? The site has html, aspx, and asp files everywhere.

Quite frankly I don't understand the question here?

If you are looking for the database you should probably find the connection string....

Do you know where the user data is being stored for the old site? If you can get access to that data store with the new site, you would be able to process logins just like the old site.
