Raspberry Pi questions - which forum?

Posted 09 October 2013 - 12:27 PM

I've got a couple of questions about Raspberry Pi, and I'm not sure which would be the appropriate forum.
First question is actually about emulating Raspbian in qemu, specifically a weird startup issue that I'm encountering when I try this, the second is about setting up dhcp on my laptop so as to give the RPi an IP address, so I can telnet into it and won't have to run it on a dedicated monitor.
I've posted these under Linux, but that seems like it might not be the right place. If any mod has an idea of a better forum for it, please feel free to move it.

Thanks!

I would post in either the Hardware & Software Forum.

I think you program the Raspberry PI with the Python programming language.

You can, yes. Or you can use any language that you would use on any linux box.

I have one I haven't started messing with. I think that people say the Python thing because on the standard Raspian distro, they install the RPi.GPIO module so you can control the GPIO pins. There's other libraries for other languages that let you do this as well, but this is the default one.
