Options for mirroring a website with cookies only?

Posted 15 October 2013 - 09:27 AM

Hi, this is my first post here--a friend suggested that the geniuses here could probably help.
(Hopefully I am posting in the correct area...)

Basically, I wish to backup/mirror/rip a website with a large number of downloadable documents, executables, compressed files, etc.

Here is the catch, I only have what I am assuming is a cookie in Chrome that will allow me to bypass logging into the website--if I open a new tab/window, the login info I have no longer works. Rendering programs like HTTrack and wget moot (I think). I have had my computer/chrome running for the past 5 days straight and backed up the Chrome-cookies-file in fear I will loose access forever.

So I am thinking a browser based add-on of some kind might work.
Doing this manually would probably take a month or two...and no, I have no malicious intentions.

My searching has not been very helpful. I welcome any advice!

Thanks

What website is this for?
Why do you only have a cookie to access the site?
Do you have log in credentials to make another cookie?

This seems over all.. shady.

It is for a copy machine site by the manufacturer that stores all the firmware, service manuals, etc.

I was using an associate's credentials that I no longer have a way to contact--apparently her changed the password...so, no and no.

Sorry for being shady
Thanks

Yeah, no. Forging credentials is bad.. trying to mirror someone else's entire site for - lord knows what reason - is bad and more than likely against their TOS for redistribution issues.

As it is I am going to shut down this thread and ask you do not persist in further inquiries regarding this project.

If you have questions on the 'why' feel free to shoot me a PM.
