Favicons

Posted 17 October 2013 - 11:55 AM

I know the code for a favicon, and I have one for my website. However I am slightly confused with the fact that whenever I access it at:

http://stronghold2.s...oldnation.co.uk

The Favicon from blogspot seems to appear.

But when I access my website at http://www.stronghol...uk/stronghold2/

My favicon appears.I don't understand why, could someone please tell me what to do to stop this problem occuring?

I don't want the favicon from blogspot, and I don't even have it on the server, or ever previously.Even before I uploaded my website, the favicon appeared, and I think it might be something to do with the subdomain.I have re-created the subdomain, and the problem is still occuring.

I even contacted my hosting providers, but all they said was:

Our team would be more than happy to help you with any problem you encounter. However, we can only provide limited support for users of our free hosting service. We can help you with basic problems associated with getting scripts running, however if you need help with third-party software, please contact the software developers or query Google.com with error message that you receive.

It is not possible for us to provide help for everyone, fix PHP errors or develop your website as it would require a lot of administrative time. We focus in getting our servers and services up and running.

On the other hand, you can always upgrade your account at http://www.000webhost.com/upgrade and we will gladly assist you with installing your scripts and fixing errors.

We do not handle any favicons from our side, you can setup your own favicon, that's why we've sent you the previous ticket that we do not offer web development support.

Could someone PLEASE tell me what is going on?

since I get the same Favicon for both pages, Id assume a caching issue.
