Need help finding the tcp segments required to send 40,000 bytes?

Posted 20 October 2013 - 06:46 AM

So heres my question:

Quote

Consider that a TCP sender, Host A, wants to send 40,000 bytes to Host B. The maximum segment size (MSS) is 1460 bytes. How many TCP segments will it take to send the 40,000 bytes?

Up to this point we were provided rate per second and at that point it's just plug and chug. But I'm not sure how to find how many segments required to send 40,000 bytes with the given data. Can anyone help?

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0
