What is the easiest way to handle info from an HTML5 form?

Posted 28 October 2013 - 07:53 AM

Here is my situation. I have a client who built there own website, and they hate it. I have been hired to overhaul it. The problem, is that they are the "starving artist type", and I am VERY limited in what I can do. I have to use html, no php, no asp (which is my forte), etc.

I have a text box and a submit button to join a mailing list. My issue is that without a server side scripting language, I can't send the contents of the text box to the info@ email.

What is the easiest way to pull the info here? Should I have the sumbit button save the input to a new txt doc on the server? Has anyone solved this problem before?

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

You might want to look into something like MailChimp. I think you can embed a form using MailChimp provided code on the client's site so that users can register for the mailing list.

Hey that works perfectly! I'd never heard of mailchimp before but they saved me a lot of time!
