Anyone familiar with Perl? (Grammar Rules)

Posted 01 November 2013 - 08:58 AM

I'm looking for some examples of Grammar rules that define the syntax of a variable declaration in the Perl language. I have zero personal experience with Perl.

** Moved to Perl **

I've coded in Perl, but I'm not sure what you are asking for.

I'm enrolled in a Programming Languages course that is currently covering the Grammar Rules that must be created when defining a programming language. I'm looking for rules of PERL syntax that must be adhered to in order to validly declare a variable.

If you haven't already done so, I would recommend asking on http://www.perlmonks.org/ Grammars are a new feature in Perl 6, which I haven't personally used, but there are a lot of heavy Perl 6 users on PerlMonks, including some of the developers. I'm sure they can help you.
