PrintForm in VB2010 Print in Tray Manual Feed

Posted 23 January 2014 - 02:33 PM

Good day...

I have a problem when a Form tries to printing in VB2010

Desire on the moment to print to select the manual supply (MANUAL FEED), without use the PrintToPreview, directly from a button and on having print request to insert the paper in the printer.

I am grateful for his help

Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
For Each papSource In PrintForm1.PrinterSettings.PaperSources
	    If papSource.Kind = PaperSourceKind.ManualFeed Then
	       PrintForm1.PrinterSettings.DefaultPageSettings.PaperSource = papSource
	       PrintForm1.Print()
	       Close()
	       Exit For
	    End If
	Next
End Sub

I haven't tried this programmatically but doesn't the printer itself prompt the user to insert paper, if necessary? I'm assuming it would do.

If it doesn't for some reason, then you might take a simple approach and show a MessageBox with a prompt such as "Is the printer ready?".

the reason why I require is printed through that tray is because I need to print the form of a check, the print format printer obviously request is entered the paper, Once inserted the paper (check) you pressed the button to continue printing.

the problem is how to select the tray from code to request the insertion of paper, piece of code I attached is what little I've found, but it will pass and prints by default tray, not the manual tray, I can not put the manual tray by default, because there are other prints to be automatic, I appreciate your attention
