Ok, so it's a bit silly, but when I saw the theme, I couldn't resist.

So I hate to be a dick but

Are the lines supposed to be stars? If yes, how big is that ship that stars between our perspective and the ship are so small that they streak like that?

Umm, excuse me, Dick, but nowhere did it say they had to be realistic. I mean, I know your sig of a TARDIS being chased down by a Hatak cannot be more realistic, but still, give the man a bit of leg room.

It's probably debris... I like to think the ship is doing cookies in the section of space they jettison all the redshirt corpses.

I mean you're totally right, but it's not a style I made up. You would have to make that same argument to EVERY 60s-80s sci-fi show/movie, AND Windows 95. I don't think you want to fuck with the Flying Through Space screensaver.

I like Ntwiles

star trek thang,

think about it the bottom layer is a nasa starfield
the second layer is a layer of small white streaks
the third layer is the Enterprise
and the fourth layer is a layer of large white streaks.

all the while the 2nd bottom and fourth layer are moving at different rates creating a unique going through space experience.

If I had any criticism of it, it would be he didnt cutout the Enterprise that well and you can see black bits at certain points around the ship.

But that would be me, just being a dick...

Good job Ntwiles the signature comp is just a bit of fun...

What was a pain was making a seemless loop with them moving at different rates. The trick I found was to make one move at exactly double the rate of the other, and have it run its animation twice.

And yeah, I was being lazy there. My original plan was just to use a black background (without the nebula), so I just used the magic wand tool

@cy5 - remember the rules on the signature image size!

Side question - am I missing a metaphor in there?

@cy5 - I guess I am unclear how that relates to space exploration.

While I do like Dep's signature, I'm not entirely convinced it has anything to do with space exploration. Neither the Doctor nor the Goa'uld were known explorers. The Doctor already knew everything, and the Goa'uld were just interested in ruling or destroying everything.
