What kind of information can I get from a running application on windo

Posted 08 April 2014 - 02:26 PM

Hello,

I'm making a java based benchmark using skyrim.
Long story short, I versionnized my game using git,
the java robot is loading one commit, launch the game, load each
save files one by one, take a screenshot and start with the next commit.

(each commit is the installation of a new graphical mod)

However I'd like to detect when a save has loaded, it can take 1 to
15 seconds.

At first I wanted to take a screenshot each 100ms and compute the average color
(loading screen represent a moving fog on a black screen), if what I had was
dark then it was loading.
However it would not detect load completion if the save was done in a dark environment.

Is there a way to detect this kind of thing?
is there something on windows that keep track of running application, something that I could
exploit.

Thanks.

Modding games like Skyrim, whose TOS don't allow such, and so we don't support these kinds of questions. Closing.
