The only good thing about twitter is you are to follow the 'real' persona you are following.. that's all.. unlike facebook, where there are a lot of fake profiles for artists, or any public figure.

Yes everyone knows that Tom Marvolo Riddle is German, Betty White is nuckin futs (ok we knew that), Darth Vader thought Spaceballs was tits, and Prince Charles makes meme jokes.

Faking profiles is easy, and common, and often funny. Twitter is just facebook for the same kind of people who got confused about what a paragraph was in high school.

And PC games are for people who can't make friends with real humans.

Both statements are equally inaccurate and asinine...

Other than the character limit, what's the difference between posting to Facebook and Twitter?

I don't have to see a bunch of bullshit replies if I don't want to. Oh, and they are spelled differently.

Of course both are shitiest'erer versions of my myspace account.

one is more of a daily update, one is more of a constant free-flowing conversation you jump in and out of at will.

ya but I do that on Facebook already (assuming you mean Twitter is the free-flowing conversation). I mean, the only mechanical differences are that Twitter has a character limit, and doesn't display content in-feed. I can subscribe without friending, I can have a constant stream of updates sent to my phone, I can reply from my phone, in as much or as little detail as suits me, I can share images without having to display a vulgar URL and if I do choose to I don't have to repost to a url shortening site due to character limits, and I don't talk like this:

I don't buy that. You're looking for people to disagree, so you can publicly shame them with your infallible logic.

Have I shamed or disagreed with anyone?

I stated my experience of Twitter: it made me feel like a user. That should speak volumes about being confined within the system and unable to work efficiently within it. I later explained why I feel that way - I use another service that has better, more convenient functionality. I've seen one compelling argument in favor of it, but as I thought it over came to the conclusion that while it was a good reason to use the service it's not a reason that applies to me because I accomplish the same in other ways.

Oh, and as I usually do I made a snarky jab at everyone who uses something I don't. I don't think anyone took that personally or got their feelings hurt over it, just like I snickered at hannibal's PC gamer joke.

I'm just bored while I work on testing a bug in a very, very slow system so I'm hangin out here.

oh wait, I did disagree with the assertion that there aren't fake profiles on Twitter
