Not at all, dreams change. I spend the day with my wife and son and get to program whatever tickles my fancy, play games with my son, or watch tv with them.

Putting it that may makes it sound so much better than "life happens and you stopped"

I watched the The Perfect Score and wanted to be the asian guy in it that programs VB and smokes weed. Seemed like a cool guy.

And then you realized you were black?

I wanted to program because I wanted to make games. Specifically, a MMA sim type game. Still haven't made that, but I am getting paid to be a game dev right now, so Mission Accomplished (sorta?) :bananaman:

When I was in High school we had a computer, HP2000E, and I was fascinated by it. So over the summer my dad got me a programming book for that computer, he taught at the HS. And I taught myself programming and I took a class and I was hooked.

Back in my senior year of high school when I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with my life, I stumbled upon an article detailing how a career as a software developer would give you loads of cash and success.

The actual passion for technology and programming came soon after (I learned to love coding), but I started programming simply because it looked like a very promising career path.

My cousin shows me his websites and I was very impressed what he maked.
So I want to do the same. I want to do my own homepage with HTML an PHP.
My first website that I created two years ago was disastrous!

No indentation, no CSS-Style, nothing!
A white page with text an numbers... :o
