Wow. that is really neat. Due to the limitations of the SplashTop, I can't really see it being huge benefit for most people. However, the idea as a whole is awesome and definitely exciting to see the way it could go as far as troubleshooting and recovery etc. Besides, who wants to wait more than 5 seconds if they don't really have to?

I wonder how long it will be before they squeeze Vista onto a chip so that it can boot in 5 secs.
