Need help with Senior project

Posted 08 June 2014 - 07:52 PM

Hey guys I was hoping to get some answers to question I have on my senior project. My group is building a web application. One of my team members designed the UIC, he used the login wizard, and the createuser wizard. I have the security layer, which I designed to validate the user input to fit requirements to help protect against SQL injections and XSS attacks. I'm not sure how to go about getting the input from the wizards before sending in the information to the server. Is there a way from me to do this? I have a couple of methods, they are all bool type. I wanted to be able to pass the input into the needed function, then if given a true value from the function, store the input into session states and save it in the database.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

What language? I am not familiar with wizards to do any code for me. So, I don't know what can be done.

As I said, I don't, and have never used wizards for this purpose. Anything done on the client side, as far as validation short of Ajax calls, needs to be done client side. Brush up on Javascript. Other than that, the data needs to be submitted to the server for it to be put through the ringer and returned if needed.

I'll guess that all the wizards have done is to help design a couple of web-pages that include forms. In which case, your task has nothing to do with wizards, but to receive (on the server-side) the data that a user submits when using one of these pages/forms.

So you should be investigating processing form data.
