Buying a TI 99/4A

Posted 27 June 2014 - 05:57 PM

Its my dad's special day soon, and his first computer was a TI 99/4A. I found one on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/...=item233c44e87a

Its in brand new condition, but comes with no monitor. Does anyone know where I can get a monitor for it? I don't know much about old computers, but I bet new monitors don't work on it.

Finally does the computer from eBay look ok?

Thanks,
Philip

I bet it hooks up to a TV via a standard TV aerial cable.

You may need a video modulator.

I misread that as TI 89. I had one of those...it certainly made my Cal I and Cal II classes easier, ha.

My family wasn't all that big on computers. Our first machine at home was an Macintosh Performa, one of the early models. It was pretty terrible.
