I feel a case mod coming on. Lets compile some suggestions!

Posted 14 July 2014 - 06:12 AM

I feel like building a new custom case for my rig. Anyone have some suggestions they'd like to toss in?

Right now I'm thinking of doing it all plexiglass. I did a plexiglass side panel on my last build with a plexiglass window over the top also.

For starters we could do something really crazy & post it in the correct forum :)

Also, for reference there is this pinned topic.

What about one like this?

I wish I had a case like this, or the skills to make one.

didn't really think the desktop hardware forum would be appropriate for discussing non-hardware components. I don't think of a case as hardware, since it's not part of the computer...

half the website is blocked, all I get is the text. Seems an interesting concept, can't see how it came out hehe. I'll check it again when I get home though.

It needs to be spacious though.

No2 just gave me a baller idea. I want a computer that is a Camel Case. Get it?

So how might one convey the idea of a camel without making a camel.

Only PC case modification that I've done is once calvinthedestroyer & I put an Emergenecy Fire Switch in place of the on/off switch. But this was back in the days of AT power supplies, when you had either on or off in the power. Not this BIOS power off 10 'second' hold thing you kids have these days.

Oh my god that R2D2 thing is genius. Think I just found my RPI experiment.

If you want to go Star-Wars (who wouldn't?) but want more room than a R2D2 model (without making it huge), you could do like an AT-AT Walker

with a box as you case and then some legs.
