Web Frameworks

Posted 23 July 2014 - 01:56 AM

I'm considering several different frameworks for different projects and I was wondering why there isn't a separate category for web frameworks in many forums (correct me if I'm wrong). At school and work, all I hear about is Rails, Django, Nodejs, etc. And there are so many new and exciting ones coming out.

What are your opinions on the different non LAMP stack frameworks?

Non LAMP stack ways of web development? Also, what I meant by nodejs would be the frameworks on top, such as angular or meteor.

And, yes, angular meaning things like express

At its core a framework is just a faster way to develop something. Using a LAMP stack is pretty artificial, you are either running something that can be run on Linux or it is run on Windows.not much choice there. And any framework choosen has it's root in the language, if you want to ask about zend, php can answer it. As for having subforums for them, there are tons, the page would be nothing but frameworks that may or may not have ANY activity.
