Too much space between lines!

Posted 10 August 2014 - 12:28 AM

So my code <div class="backtolist">
<p>
<a href="booksmain.html">Back to booklist</a>
</p>
<p>

</div>
<div class="backtohome">

<p>
<a href="../index.html">Home</a>
</p>
</div>

how it looks: (in attachment)

It's too much space in between, How do I bring them closer? but have them in separate classes?

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Is this for a nav menu? Put it in a list. Why the separate classes? Does it correspond to a div styling for another section?

too much space => check paddings/margins in the dev tools.

It's not for a nav menu. I have them under a nav menu but as links on page.

I want to have separate styles for them, but i only know how to use the </div> tags for that.

Any tag can have id and class properties. The difference between the two for styling is the I'd refers to a single element and class refers to groups of elements.

Remember you can also target elements with CSS selectors. You don't necessarily need a class or an id. here you probably want to change the margin/padding/line-height of your paragraph elements.
