My latest Python code lets me use a raspberry pi to see in the dark. :ph34r:

BTW, programming is spelled with two m's. :wink:

This nifty little $25 camera module can see IR: http://www.raspberry...rg/tag/pi-noir/
The cute NoIR name means the usual IR block is removed (it's included to install if you need it).

And this little IR LED array can flood an area with InfraRed: http://www.amazon.co...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Put the two together and connect to the RPi camera port and you have the makings of a very cheap, portable night vision rig. I'll let you know how well it works after I put it to its paces this weekend...

Python is good for learning to program, nothing else, you should learn python and some sound programming concepts then learn C and always program in C as C is fast and python is like molasis especially when you use classes and lists together. Dictionarys are not much better. Structs in C are massively speedy and all C code is the best of the best.
