Think Python is a free ebook that is largely based on Python 2, or you can buy a paper copy. It looks good.

Most of the book works for Python 2.x and 3.0. Where there are differences, they are pointed out in footnotes.

Learn Python the Hard Way can be purchased, but also available as an online tutorial.

If you are new to programming and want to start with Python, then "Hello World, programming for kids and other Beginners" by Warren and Carter Sande is ia fine choice.
