Print scrollable form problem

Posted 07 September 2014 - 08:32 PM

Hi VB.net experts,

I am creating a program that will print entire form which is a scrollable form.
I have tried to use this code
PrintForm1.Print(Me, PowerPacks.Printing.PrintForm.PrintOption.Scrollable)
but this line of code did not perform as what I have expected.
Could somebody help me to figure out on what is the problem, on what I have missed.
I will attach a screenshot.
Thanks in advance.

Regards,

This means that your paper size is too small to print the whole image to the paper. The papersize is the default setting of your printer. So, you need some way to reduce the image to fit on the paper.

Hi the size of each image is 4"x5" widthxheight
and I'm try to print it on a letter size paper which is 8.5"x11.0".
so it means that the image can be fit in that paper.

"can you help me define a new paper size"
-how can I define new paper size in my program.
-I want to changed it to 8.5"x13.0"

Thanks.

As seen in the attached image. It just capture the visible form in my screen.

Well from the image you loaded I can see that there is white space at the bottom of your print preview. Maybe change the orientation to landscape. Otherwise you need to find a way reduce the image. There might be a strarting point here:

is it possible to rotate the form at run time to make it landscape?.
90degress counter clockwise.

Thanks.

I did some reading on the subject and found on the microsoft site the statement that .scrollable only prints the non visible part of the height of a form, not the width. Printing to landscape means you set your printer settings to landscape, but this will not help you with the non visible part of your form. So I think your best option is to scale all the controls of your form until they fit onto the form, then print and scale back to origanal. There should be some code of scaling the form on the net. If you can't find anything I will try to help you further. Good luck
