Hello from St. Louis, MO!

Posted 12 September 2014 - 12:52 AM

Let me introduce myself. I have a BS degree in management information systems and I am working in an entry level job in hospital IT where I monitor servers overnights. I have nothing but time when I am at work so I use my nights to study.

I have an interest in web design and some programming. I am interested in getting a job in web design and development so that is why I am here. I feel like I am stuck bewteen amatuer and professional, and I am looking for the skills to make that leap. I have done some small web development freelance jobs where I helped a small store setup an online shopping cart using Zen Cart.

I am giving myself one year to learn as much as I can. Why one year? That's when my wife graduates college and hopefully we can move to another state or country where jobs are plenty.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0
