Posted 16 October 2007 - 10:38 AM
After the user perform the installation, the program should run by itself when the computer is on.
May be it's not possible with the vb6 package wizard???if that is the case would someone recommend another installer that can do that?

If you are not sure dont mention it...
I guess this is only a way publish createinstall between this forum...
JavierToronto:
First the simple vb6 installer can't put that info at the windows registry,so it can be done throught that...
Did you ever hear about NSIS ??? if you like programming take a look at this great compiler...
And if you go around their Forums you will find the answer...
Easy right??

Man why don't you just cool it, it's not possible to do what he wants with the Publishing Wizard, and CreateInstall works great for me, so he's obviously doing something wrong.
Ive been programming over 10+ years so I do think I have some expertise in the area (not to mention my Microsoft Certifications and Bachelor Degree(s)).
If you've got nothing nice to say then it's probably best to just be quiet

Perhaps this is the reason why so many people prefer the use of sites like PSC or vbxtreme to find some help...
You got issues dude and this is only a forum to help so go and shut up some one else....

Actually we get a ton of questions from people who come from there due to not being able to get their question answered. You had no reason to pop off like you did, all I did was simply let him know what he wanted couldn't be done with the standard Package & Deployment Wizard, then offered a solution that could.
If he cant get it working right thats no reason for your statement to me, especially when all I was doing was trying to assist him with a solution for his issue, and that is something I do a lot of because I enjoy helping others. What I don't like is people like you who come in here and pop off just because they can.
If he wanted help with the solution I offered all he had to do was ask, I don't think he needed you to come to his rescue. So I repeat, if you don't have anything constructive to bring to the discussion then don't say anything at all

AuGuS666 can go to PSC or vbxtreme where they apparently provide better help.
