HTML beggining

Posted 08 October 2014 - 07:02 AM

Hello everyone!

I'm new on this forum and these are my first steps in Web Development.I may ask a very common question but i'd appreciate if you advice what you think.
How you think, is it possible to create some good career in web development by starting self-studying of html ? Like an elementary level, you know what i mean.

Thanks!

I HAD SOME MISTAKES WHILE PUBLISHING CONTENT AND NOW I HAVE TWO SAME TOPICS. SO ADMINISTRATORS CAN DELETE THIS TOPIC.

But of course it is possible! I am the living proof of that :)
All you have to do is be perseverant in what you do, don't give up in front of the problems you will encounter, learn as much as you can about the subject, start the practical work from the beginner level and work all the way to the top, and you're all set to go!
Good luck on this path!

with just HTML you won’t get far. you’ll need at least CSS and JS (if you know how to use JS/CSS frameworks, all the better) as well. and one or two server-side languages (PHP, ASP.NET, C#, Java, Python, Ruby) wouldn’t hurt either.

In the end it depends mostly on what kind of job it is.

Thank you guys for advice! I appreciate it a lot.
I don't know much about WD but as i know, there are a lot of well-paid jobs about in this field. Also, i'm interested in working with computer (i have a little experience working in Joomla, so i know a little bit about this field). I have written HTML tags and i;m going to start learning them. Is it all right ?

Thanks!

yes, it is. Once you're confortable with HTML you can move forward, as Dormilich suggested, and learn some CSS/JS and, finally, some server side language, like PHP ;)

Well, it is also a warm feeling for us when we meet new people that show their desire to learn and improve themselves! ;)
