Non-stacking WordPress Theme

Posted 15 November 2014 - 09:29 PM

Hello everyone,

I have a client who would like to redesign their WordPress site. They are very particular that the mobile version of the site not be stacked and "must act like the desktop version with the option to zoom in and out and move left to right".

I have worked with responsive themes before, but their mobile versions all stacked. I don't know what the type of site my clients wants is called. I thought they are called fluid sites, but I've found several examples of fluid sites which stack.

Am I misunderstanding the type of site my client is looking for? Are there WordPress themes which don't stack?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could my client be thinking about a fixed-width website?

If you have questions like that, I would ask further questions to your client. From my logic, I would do a NON-responsive site mockup and see if that is what they are looking for.

Seem like you client wants a non-responsive website, meanwhile the whole world is going for responsive, mobility trend. Sometimes it's a pain dealing with clients' requirements :(
