Curl -u command

Posted 27 December 2014 - 09:29 AM

Hi all,

I am trying to integrate PayPal into my website. And while reading the API tutorials I came across the following snippet.

curl -v https://api.sandbox.paypal.com/v1/oauth2/token \
  -H "Accept: application/json" \
  -H "Accept-Language: en_US" \
  -u "EOJ2S-Z6OoN_le_KS1d75wsZ6y0SFdVsY9183IvxFyZp:EClusMEUk8e9ihI7ZdVLF5cZ6y0SFdVsY9183IvxFyZp" \
  -d "grant_type=client_credentials"

Can you please tell what -u stands for in curl? I know that -H stands for http Header and -d Stands for HTTP payload.

Thank you, I tried searching but didn't get any results.

thanks
