How to decompile an exe written in C?

Hi,
I need help, I'm trying to decompile an exe written in c but no success.
Tried to download a decompiler but still no success.

Can anyone help me?

With all the different compilers for C/C++, there isn't a simple (magical) Decompiler. As well, the programmer (s) may have written DLLs, which would be linked, however, not included in the exe.

In general, you have to dissassemble the exe to get any information as to what it's doing.

I'd give a caveat, however, that decompilers rarely work they way you might expect. Due to optimizations performed by compilers, a decompiler will very rarely produce the exact original source code.
