What are you coding and why ?

What are you coding and why ?
Which language ?
How big or small that project is ? :P

I'm currently learning C++ while also coding a Temperature Converter program, just for practice purpose and since I'm a beginner it'll will take some amount of time to complete and I don't have that much time coding, being busy with my school studies

I code in lots of languages but:

WeaponSoul, because the Action/RPG game design I came up with kicks ass.
C++, because it's great for video games.
Really big, and I'm really lazy so I've been at it for a couple of years.

By the way, why did you put those questions in a red FIXEDSYS font?

I'm currently working on a couple of projects:

For work I'm doing a ASP.Net C# Ajax web application. That's been alot of fun. It's a conversion from an early MS Access application so it's been an interesting conversion.

For fun, I'm doing a Facebook app in PHP (because that's what's on my hosting account) It's to display my progress for National Novel writing month. Though there are about 3 other apps out there so I might scrap mine.

I am working on my web site. I am waiting on my dad to hook me up with some hosting-ness and some forum software and then I am going to make it a Guitar Forum.

I am using CSS, HTML, and I suppose I will be learning some PHP/MySQL.

I'm redesigning my website, and working on a Facebook app. The website is just HTML/CSS right now, and the Facebook app is PHP - it's a good learning project.

I think like 4 of my friends are trying to make a Facebook app. Why is that so popular?

Well, even though its not really a program, I practice problem solving using Project Euler and I typically write those algorithms in C++.

I'm also currently working on a project for my anime club that helps us track membership information, fees, and attendance. This is being written in VB.Net.

I do other random coding projects on the side, like helping some friends with website plugins in PHP, or when they call me I work on a per-contract basis with a local software broker and typically I'm updating their stuff which is written in ASP.NET.

Its the big trend nowadays, I think I have someone wanting me to do one for them, but I'm not sure if I'll take the job.

Facebook is popular, isn't it? So why wouldn't making apps for it be popular too?

@Home: Working on a class library and application to capture images and video from a web cam. This is not only for the fun of it, but for a tutorial and an online article as well.

@Work: Upgrading database to SQL 2005, working on messaging web service to be used for: My custom exception handling work, a trace logging object I'm creating, and various other applications that need to relay messages across multiple applications. The Web Service will be language independent since currently we have applications in .Net, VB6, Power Builder

I'm doing a tunneling project with sockets.

Doing it in C++

Used for tunneling straight to the internet, by passing content policies, mostly for school, i'm having a problem with the size of the web page i can get to though, and i'm lazy so they don't really work together.
