CSS: Borders around <tr> elements

Posted 04 April 2007 - 05:12 PM

Description: In the case of this sample code, inside your HTML you would have a <tr> with a class of 'highlightedRow'. On the leftmost <td> within the row you'd have the class of 'outerLeft', and on the rightmost <td> you'd have the class of 'outerRight'.This is a piece of CSS that will let you place borders around <tr>s.
.highlightedRow td{
     border-top: 2px solid maroon;
     border-bottom: 2px solid maroon;
     background-color: #EECCCC;
}
.highlightedRow td.outerLeft {
     border-left: 2px solid maroon;
}
.highlightedRow td.outerRight {
     border-right: 2px solid maroon;
}
