ASP.Net only?

Posted 01 November 2007 - 01:39 PM

Howzit guys,

I just have a question regarding Developing Web sites / applications that I've been wondering about, and thought I would see what all you gurus have to say!
:D

When you develop a web site / application in ASP.Net do you develop ONLY in Visual Studio or do you use other web design packages (eg: flash, dreamweaver, etc) as well and combine the two?

Is this possible?
Is it recommended?

Obviously everyone has their own style...but what do you personally do?

It's entirely possible, and whether it's recommended or not depends on who you talk to.

Personally, I use VS for my ASP.Net work, Flash for my Flash work(:P), and then either write my HTML in an alternate editor or write the HTML in VS itself if it's faster.

For ASP.Net I use either Visual Studio 2005 or Sharp Develop, then for the presentation layer I usually do that in Dreamweaver

At our company we have a mix of developers who use visual studio and others who don't. Our designer does all his work manually in a text editor, but we all integrate just fine. Its really just a matter of taste.
