Aligning text & images on canvas

Posted 26 February 2015 - 02:07 PM

Hi Guys,

I'm very new to HTML & CSS however I have come on leaps & bounds in the last month after playing around with my website & taking knowledge from books & online sources.

However I'm having a few issues with my website currently, which originally used the html & css text provided by a theme from bigcartel.

Questions 1) I'm having issues trying to align any text & images on my canvas. I have played with both page_body & canvas elements in the CSS yet nothing I do seems to work. The alignment is all out of place since I changed the canvas & body sizes to fit what I wanted to do on the site. Here's an example from my website Limited Edition Stash Beanie / Raw Peaks

2) I have also created some staff profiles on the About section, which Ideally I would like to be centralised, in a pyriamid shape, however once again I'm having issues working this out. https://rawpeaks.big...design#advanced

This is the html code for one of these images

<ul id="product_{{ product.id }}" style="list-style: none;">
<li id="product_{{ product.id }}" class="product">
<a href="https://instagram.com/nickstace/" title="Stace">
<div class="product_header">
<span class="dash"></span>
<h3>S.E.ASIA LIASON</h3>
<img src="http://i.imgur.com/jVVXvXU.jpg" class="fade_in" alt="STACE TEAM PHOTO">

Any ideas what I may be doing wrong? I have checked the classes within the CSS yet cannot work out what I'm doing wrong.

Apologies, no idea why that link was posted. This was the link I was supposed to give for question 1) http://www.rawpeaks....product/beanies

and for question 2) http://www.rawpeaks.com/about

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0
