Well VB.NET/C# for the web is actually ASP.NET. We have a whole forum dedicated to it. In that forum you will find our reference links to tutorials and other materials. Here is a link to it..

ASP.NET I find is better covered in books so if you can find some books at a bookstore to help supplement those tutorials you should be in good shape. You want to find a good beginner book that is not necessarily MVC focused. Learn the basics and then you can go into MVC if you want to.

The fundamentals of VB.NET are the same. Visual Studio is the same. Some of controls and events have the same or similar names.

So, yes, there are things that you can carry across from WinForms to ASP.NET, but the approach to building a web site or application is very different to a desktop application.

I also recommend that you get a book.
