Strange virus on my android tablet

Posted 23 May 2015 - 02:48 PM

Hey guys I am not sure if I can post my problem here but I couldnt find any other subforum for it.

The problem is that I have a strange virus, when I click my apps button, it shows me 2 icons for "Google", one of them is a fake one, eerytime I click it I get lots of ads and bad stuff, also while I am in another app I get ads as well and the antivirus identifyes them as "Google", I cant unistall the app, the system understands it as if the app is part of the core of the system.
I have done everything, fabric reset, hard reset, format, nothing works, I am really frustrated and I really would appreciate if you guys have an idea on how this can be solved.

Thanks :D

How did you get the virus ...?

Just flush the android browser/data cache it affects under settings/apps to get rid of it.

It cannot affect the entire android OS unless you allowed the install of a foreign app (APK) .

Did you download something from another source ie not google play ?

Yea I did downloaded something from another site, and I had allowed the install of foreign apps. But now I reseted a third time and looks like the "fake" Google app is not there, hope the virus is gone....will now disable the foreign apps installation and get an antivirus.
Thanks

EDIT

Now I have little banner-ads in any app :( screw android :gun_bandana: ^-^

Well, the antivirus says that Google app is infected, along with two other apps but it says that the cant be removed because they have been preinstalled by the OS.... Thats my problem :(

Be advised that installing a custom rom on your android tablet will void the warranty.

Also you will need to research the best custom rom for your device whichever that is.

Read the reviews before you try it.

Read the install guides each custom rom comes with its own install guide.

Read this universal guide

first then read this guide on how find the best rom for your device

http://www.ijailbrea...m-android-roms/

I have to get some sleep now but i will check in with this thread tomorrow.

Regards

Snoopy.

Remember read the info thoroughly and do your research.
