autorun program-can it be disassembled?

Posted 16 June 2015 - 06:16 PM

Several years ago I created a Powerpoint presentation and converted it into an autorun program on a CD. I now need to use the slides and sound from that Powerpoint presentation but have lost or deleted the original information.

Is it possible to obtain the original slides and sound files from the autorun.exe and autorun.ini files that are on the CD?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Jim

Hi, when such objects are stored in a file they are called resources.

Upon searching, the first utility I came upon was this, ResourcesExtract

There is also a DotNetResourcesExtract utility, on the same site, for .NET applications.

They might be worth a try.
