Best deal on a Macbook Pro ?

Posted 14 July 2015 - 09:52 AM

Hello,

Just looking for some advice really.

I'm a Uni student at the moment and I do all of my work, web dev and programming on a HP ProBook 6450b which I upgraded to 8GB of ram.

I've always wanted a Macbook, as I've used them before and my brother owns one also and we plan on doing some X-Code at some point.

Anyway, I've seen I qualify for Apple student discount online and Ive managed to find the following Macbook specs for 859 which will take me roughly 2 months to save up (perks of quitting work and becoming poor lol):

2.7GHz Processor
128 GB Storage
2.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz
8GB 1866MHz LPDDR3 memory
128GB PCIe-based flash storage1
Intel Iris Graphics 6100
Built-in battery (10 hours)2
Force Touch trackpad

Anyway, I'm wondering if anybody knows of any better deals or better value elsewhere on a MacBook pro, just to add, 8GB min is essential for me, the only bad thing about this one is the small Memory but Im sure I'll make do as I only use my laptop for work at the moment anyway.

Thanks for any help!

James
